2019 Event Recap

Fishing Contest.W
e saw a lot of smiles on faces and there were also some very serious young folks in the contest.  A total of eight boats participated with 17 contestants involved.  We saw some very nice Bluegill at check in, with most contestants returning with at least a three fish total.

First place was awarded for the total length of three fish added up and this went to Brandon Rockman with a total of 26-5/8”.  He received an Ugly Stick pole and reel combination as well as several lures.  Second place was for the longest Bluegill and this was accomplished by Shawn Sanders with a fish coming in at 9-5/8” long.  Shawn received a tackle box that included several lures and other fishing items.   As it turned out, we had a very close first place finish and elected to award a third place spot.  Noah Kinney came in with a three fish total of 25-15/16”, just a touch behind Brandon Rockman and was awarded a filet knife, folding filet board and iron skillet.  We did not have any contestants return with Pike and it did not appear that any of the contestants had spent any time fishing for Pike.

In all; we felt the tournament was a success and we look forward to planning one for 2018.

Fishing Contest.  A total of eight boats participated with 17 contestants involved.  We saw some very nice Bluegill at check in, with most contestants returning with at least a three fish total.

Scavenger Hunt. There were 22 teams containing 72 kids took part in the Scavenger Hunt and had a great time.  There were so many great items to find!  Eight teams returned with perfect scores, so a drawing was held to pick the four grand prize winners.

Float Parade: Through The Decades.  Approximately 50 boats and 200 people took part in the Thru The Decades Float Parade. Special thanks to the six families (see list below photos) who hosted docks to stamp cards and hand out goodies.  A total of 60 prize packages (see donor list below) were awarded at the end of the float parade.
